another a/c bracket question

Just letting you guys know.

Well ive got my motor in, runs good and everything, but my brakes feel funny. i plumbed the factory ford power steering lines into the dodge powersteering pump and it steer pretty good no noise really, but the brake peddle feels different than when i had the ford motor in it and it seems harder to stop. anything help this?

I have the same problem on mine. I added a vaccum canister to try and help with Vac volume and still does not stop very good. Might have to go to a 12Volt vaccum pump. Unless someone has figured something else out? My brakes are Vac assist as well.

Well..... on my conversion, I used the hydraulic brake booster from the Dodge, coupled with my disc brake conversion, she stops on a dime.

Just ask J Crockett! :D:D

God, I love my truck!!

Vacuum I think.

Do you have a big cannister behind the brake master cylinder (this is vacuum assist)? Or do you have the master cylinder coming out of the firewall with large hydralic lines running from the power steering pump to the master cylinder (this is hydro boost)? Also the hydro boost has a small cylinder shaped canister off to the side of the master cylinder.

You may want to consider converting your truck over to a Hydro Boost system if it isn't. It is pretty easy on the GM's. I cant imagine that the Fords would be too different. Don't some of the Ford A/C controls work off vacuum? That would be a reason to keep at least some of the vacuum.

Not sure... Just thinking out loud.
