Anyone done their front brakes on a 2000 2500 or newer? Just hit about 50K and went to DC for new pads. I like Ferodo pads but not available for 2000. The front brakes are all new in 2000. I just had a local brake shop ruin my rotors so was wondering if anyone has tried any aftermarket rotors ( cross-drilled, etc ) insted of OEM's on a 2000+ 2500???

I don't know of any after market rotors of the cross grove or drilled design for the dodges but i don't think they would be of any benefit. We supplied the state patrol with this type of rotor and they quit using them because of cracking problems between the holes. Carbon met pads are as good as you can do for long life & little or no rotor wear. Auto Specialty brand is supplying a good quality stock rotor for the 2000. We will be doing a front job on a 2000 4x4 dually on tuesday the 27th. Ferodo makes a pad called Hypermet that is close to carbo met but hard to find. They are a little harder on rotors. We have carbomets for the 2000/2001 models as well as the early ones.
