2001 ETH 6 Speed 4X4 Sport Extended Cab Short Bed Four Wheel Disc. When I'm driving less then 40mph the brakes Squeal LOUDLY!as soon as you touch the brake peddel it stops. first trip to the dealer they pulled the front tires and said it looked ok. At the time the truck was brand new and I was told that it would take some time to break in (sorry for the pun) I now have 14K on the truck and they still Squeal any one have the same problem?

Mine have never made any noise whatsoever. 11,000 miles mostly towing and look like new. The discs on my new Dodge are incredable compared to my brake pulling to the R on my 99.

if you can narrow it down to which wheel it is coming from you might try putting a small chamfer on the leading edge of the pads. 30 to 45 degree and back about 1/4 inch. It will require pulling the caliper back off the mount to get a file in there. No need to loosen the brake hose. Make sure any metal to metal surfaces have lube on them. Check the pad surface to make sure there isn't a small rock or something imbedded in the material. ----Sam

Hey i got the same squeal with my truck. it is a 2000 though. I have been back to dealer several times and they can't find a problem with it. Seems like a caliper sticking, just my two cents though.
