Hey guys, I am going to install a DRW Dana 80 in the crew Oo. and while I am at it I could switch to disks. So the logical question is, which brakes are better, disk or drum? What are the advanages and disadvantages to both types. Thanks.

Robert

Disc brakes are the only way to go if you have a choice. More braking power and better heat dissapation. Don't need to be adjusted either.

No real advantage of drums over disk except weight

dana 80

Hey Jay;

I put a dana 80 under my 96 RAM 2500 and am lovin it. Got the box with fat fenders for $500. 00 at a shop that puts flat beds on these trucks for farmers. The 80 has drums and I am looking at putting disc brakes on it so I'll be watching you to see how you accomplish the job and how much $$.

Keep thos threads comin' on this subject.
