Well I put the Chev duallie wheel cylinders on my truck today. To be honest, I can't tell a difference other than the pedal travels a little be more. What's up with that? Brakes are bled properly and everything. And they are the right ones, even said 1 3/16" bore on the cylinder.

The other thing, do the newer 2nd gens have larger brakes?

My buddy with an 01 Ram 2500 was doing his brakes today and I stopped by. They are nothing like the brakes on my truck. Pads are alot wider and so is the drum. The hubs are different too to allow the larger drum. Shoot even the spring setup isn't the same. This is a D70 rear axle. I thought the brakes were all the same for the D70s until disc brakes.

OK, just so you do not win :-laf .

Yes,depending on the years there are differences in the brakes. Maybe your brakes need to be adjusted some more?. Seems if you had air in the system the pedal would feel a little spongy. Other than that your Chev. cylinders must be having a Revolution, after all it's our truck and our country :-laf . Even though we are moving our plants to Mexico  .
