I have a problem with front brakes locking up after about 3 miles, have now bled brake lines, had to unplug the anti-lock brake motor? was continually running and is locking up but not as bad. Have no idea what is wrong, pads are less than a 1 yr old, rotors are new, calipers are new, proportioning valve checks o. k. , brake fluid could be changed, but still don't know what's wrong.

The hoses going to the caliper mite be weak and collasping keeping the fluid trapped. This will keep pressure on the callipers causing the brakes to stick maybe lock-up.

Questions:

So unplugging the ABS pump motor stopped the lock-up problem?

Did you get any trouble codes or did the ABS light come on when this problem happened?

Thanks,

John L.

These were 2 different occasions, had to unplug the motor because all of a suudden it kept running, now much later, this locking up just started happening, so ABS light has been on. Checked proportioning valve, ok, bled front brakes, all fluid.
