Braking made easier with less pedal effort.

I understand in 97 or 98 that they went back to a hydraulic system instead of a vacuum boost set up. I am going to have this installed on my 96 rammer. Will give an update later.

96 Ram 2500, 5 speed, 4. 10 gears, etc. etc.

hydro boost units are a good booster but they do have 1 major drawback. LEAKS after they get some miles on them they can leak power steering fluid out the seal between the master cylinder & booster. Thats the good one, the bad one is when they leak out the imput shaft seal on your feet & floorboards. I would stay with the vacuum unitfor less maintance. Sam

Stay with the vacuum instead of the hydro unit if possible. I had a GM diesel and it leaked into the floorboard and carpets when it went out. It seemed to work good but what a mess!!
