Brakesmart install

I will be installing a Brakesmart controller in the next day or two.



Anything I need to know before I do the install?



how about tuning after it is installed?



The instructions seem straight forward but I figure I better ask someone whos been there done that!

Please let me know or post a pic of where you installed your brakesmart. I went to install my brakesmart from my 1993 truck to my new truck Saturday and I can't find a flat spot to mount it anywhere. So my easy install locked it's wheels in a hurry. The only decent flat area I have is by the trans shifter (cup holder cut out for automatic) and the shifter will hit it in L and 3rd. I could mount it on the side of the shifter housing, but it's way down and way out of vision and I would have to lean forward and reach down to hit the manual button if needed. The whole dash is cool with all it's lines, but not so nice looking when it comes to needing a good flat area for mount stuff.



My truck is manual with manual 4x4.

EZ. . I mounted mine above where the shifter would be if my truck was a manual shift. the Mega cab is different than the QC and the rest too I guess.

on the QC, there is a pull out cup holder in the same spot where my truck seems to have a useless opening. the opening extends from some plastic trays that dc put where the manual shifter and the transfer case shift would be, up to just below the switches for the EB,seat heaters and rear win slide are.



BTW. the brakesmart works FANTASTIC!
