This is a NEW WEB Browser that's suppose to be The Cat's Meow - It's free and check out the RED BELOW about the one feature that we all need... ... .

Description

Our editors say:

The long-awaited release of Mozilla version 1. 0 meets all the expectations for a modern browser, with many features not found in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Mozilla's interface employs the standard browsing paradigm with back, forward, and refresh buttons, but it is skinnable, meaning you can download new looks for it. One feature that many surfers will find they can't live without is the ability to disable unrequested pop-up windows on Web sites. Mozilla also lets you open multiple browser windows and display multiple Web pages in a single tabbed window at the same time.

Mozilla performs well, loading pages quickly and making slightly less of an impact on system resources than Internet Explorer. During installation you can choose to install all, some, or none of Mozilla's associated components. These include a decent mail and news client, and a chat client for IRC. Finally, Mozilla is absolutely free, with no built-in ad display or bundled adware.

Forgot to mention that .....

Hey I've only tried this for a day - but one of the features I like is that when you look at say our forumns and you're scrolling down and pick a message, look at it and then go BACK to the forumn list - It Takes You Back in the List where YOU WERE - NOT AT THE )*(&*&) TOP OF THE LIST! A great feature!!!!!!

hammersley,

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try.

One point that you overlooked about IE and Netscape is that you CAN go to a thread and come right back where you were. The trick is to RIGHT click on the link and then chose "open in another window" from the context menu. That's what I am doing now. This reply is in another window so I can ALT-TAB back to the thread to make sure I'm making a little sense.

I'm not sure that the multiple windows in one tabbed window is a good feature. I open a lot of pages in full sized windows so they over lap or are hidden behind the window I'm looking at.

Cookies Manager

It has a really great Cookie Manager - allows you to see all cookies and where they are from, and not only kill them but eliminate them fom being stored again.

I had a slight problem with it when downloaded. The curser was not in the right place( the last letter typed was hidden), and the smiles and moving graphics were glitchy. The moving things seemed to stutter, or have partially missing parts, very small parts, but noticable.

I used my goback program and everything is internet explorer now. Internet explorer may not be the best, but I dont have noticable bugs in this system.

I would go back to Mozilla, if the glitches were fixced.
