That would be me to this board AND my new truck. Actually I've been lurking as a non-paying guest for the past month. I joined last night. This board has been a wealth of information, and has turned this die-hard Ford man into a Dodge Cummins convert. I love my new truck! It is going to stay bone stock. I don't know enough to fiddle with it. Besides I have my hands full with my Harley. Just retired. Starting second career. Will be looking for a 5er toy hauler in the near future. It is GOOD to be here.

Yep! I know. I'm SLOWLY learning that lesson with my other toy. As I become more educated and familiar with my new truck, I'll get brave. Somehow, the thought of drilling a hole in a brand new exhaust manifold in order to install an EGT thermocouple just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I'm not familiar enough with my dealer to know what they'll tolerate on warranty claims, if any... ... ... ... . so I'll take it SLOW. Right now, I'm happier with my truck than any other I've owned. LOTSA power and torque!

Welcome Bagger, just retired huh! I got 8 more years before I can think about that. Hopefully your dealer will be one of the good ones and you'll only loose the manifold warranty instead of the whole truck warranty. :D

Yikes!!

There must be thousands of us out there. I've got the Road King Classic, the 3500 Quad Cab, bright white, 6 speed, and looking for a 5th wheel 'cause I'm retiring in 11 months 18 days and 4 hours but who's counting? Life is good but lots better with a Cummins.

Guys be very careful as once I retired I have not had any free time to busy with all my projects. So take my advice and toss those projects before retiring.

You can keep it stock. If I can, you can. I'm thinking of starting a 12 step group for recovering bombers... :-laf

Welcome to you too Hiballer.

Unfortunately I am a good 20 years from retirement. I just keep practicing for now :)
