Lal Toofan

Lal Toofan:

Lal Toofan

the world's first basmati-brewed beer

Lal Toofan - named after the mysterious dust storm which sweeps across the barren red desert sands of Rajasthan in Northern India. Known as 'Red Storm', this dramatic event is the inspiration for this refreshing beer.

Originally brewed in the UK to an original recipe from the Shaw Wallace Brewery in Bombay, Lal Toofan now uses the new basmati-based recipe.

Lal Toofan is a distinctive premium lager with an ABV of 5%. It is the perfect accompaniment with food from the Indian sub-continent

Not available in the US, have only found it in Canada at a small India restaurant.

Would kill for some.

Baird Creek Brown Ale is a personal favorite, along with Barking Brew ESB, dont forget Quartz Creek Porter... - All made at the Clover Creek Brewery, located in my garage, Puyallup Wa... .

He speaks the truth, I have tasted his work! (Hi Russ! )

I live in Microbrew mecca here in the Northwest... From the store: Deschutes beers are all excellent (Bend, OR) Pintail IPA is my favorite, Bridgeport, Hales, Sierra Nevada, everything at the Celtic Bayou in Redmond. Moose Drool must be had (best name), Red Hook ESB used to be good, Sam Adams nice and drinkable.

Anyone remember that Canadian beer that came in squat brown bottles that had a notch in the base of each to twist open the next? That was cool!!

Oh yeah, and Barq's is the best Root Beer hands down!!! (It has bite, you know... ) :)

Glacier Bay had that. BBO- Bottom Bottle Opener. Like 11 bucks for a case of bottles, it was more fun opening them, than drinking them. Simple minds, simple pleasures. :D
