I want to install "speed bleeders" on my disk brake bleed valves. I need to know the thread and "bolt" length on OEM bleeders. Dodge does not know what the spec. is on the bleeders???

Has anyone replaced the OEM brake bleeders and know the specification? I want to use Russel Speed Bleeders they do not know the specifications either. I have a 4wd 2001 with disc's all around... thanks kts

Have you tried to get a replacement bleed screw from Dodge? It should be inexpensive and not difficult to compare to the replacement unit. I replaced screws just by taking the old one to Autozone . Easy to match.

Model year 2000 has the same front wheel cylinders as the 2001. 5 Rams. My model year 2000 took Speed Bleeder P/N SB3824 (stainless steel, 3/8 X 24 threads, 1. 10 in. overall length) both front and rear. I suspect yours is the same. I got them from speedbleeder.com. The are at top-left in this picture.

You are probably right on the 2000 front the same as the 2001. 5 front and back. Guess I will need to take the chance that this is correct. I will be screwed if I take the bleeders out and they are wrong. I can not believe that Dodge does not know what the threads are for their own parts. Maybe what I will do is order a single Dodge replacement screw and then compare the threads and return the screw??? Thanks for the help. The TDR members come through again... kts
