That reminds me of one other thing I was going to add. Most farm equimpent is governed to maximum continous duty rpm not max rpm. Hence the ability to push the throttle to the stops without any problems. Again I wasnt saying you shouldnt work your truck hard because load is good. I was saying you shouldnt flog it. I think most people have plenty of common sense and know what I mean.

Going to Dave Smith Motors tomorrow to pick up our new 3500 dually. After reading these posts I guess I won't be locking in the cruise control for the 500 mile trip home. Good info!
