2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission break lights flashing on there own

i was standing beside my truck the other night talking to a guy when out of nowhere my breaklights flashed quickly on and off then today while at my dads it did the same thing again first time the keys were not even in the ignition today they were . not sure how long its been happening or how often it does it. anyone else ever notice this? any ideas or things to check? thanks adam

Alarm system set to Silent mode? This has happened to my 96 when my battery was replaced. For some reason, the Alarm went to Silent mode...

Make sure the switch is adjusted properly. I don't know if the newer 2nd gens are the same as the early ones but if so... Push the brake pedal down with your hand then pull the plunger in the switch down, it will ratchet out. When you release the brake pedal, it will adjust.

so if it is the alarm how do i fix it?????? ill try the switch thing in the morning thanks guys... ...
