I have a Cobra WXSTII mounted to a Bob Wagner(pic below) mount in-between driver and passenger seat. I have a manual trans and can't find a good spot for the mic. Please send me photo's of how your microphone's are mounted/hung.

Thanks

Dave

I've got a buddy hook (see below) and I just hang it on the cigarette lighter. Works pretty well. Otherwise, I just lay it in front of the CB between it and the console.

Mine is spring device similar to Nate's, including the bracket, but I mounted the spring with the thumb bolt that mounts the radio to the mounting bracket, so the mike is near my right leg. Works for me :D

I have been wrapping my cord around the radio and then slipping the mic under the seat. Every time I get a radio check or someone wanting to talk I have to drag it out by the cord. Any photo's would be great.

Thanks

Dave

what i did was mount it on the side of my cb i have a cobra 29 nw and it has screws on the side that let you mount the mike clip there works great keeps it close but yet out of the way most all the cobras have that option hope that helps

I mounted my CB in the dash and since I always have the center console down with the cup smoothy on, I mounted the Mic holder to that, I also have my FishStick plow control mounted there but not in this picture.

I used a trucker mirror mount system I'll try and photo it soon Works quite well Hangs the Mic just above the dash and a bit under the mirror on a retrachable cord.

Gear keeper is the only way to go. clip the end on your overhead console and the ether end is a spring loaded retractable cable with a loop on the end to go on your mic.

Mounted on the side of my CB so it is by my right leg also. When I am using it I have the overhead counsol and open the sunglass older and hang it of it so it is easier to get to.

Lots of options and lots of good info. Thanks a bunch for these ideas and pictures. It really helps when fellow TDR members pull through and take the time to help out another member. Thanks a TON!!

I used a stiff flexible cell phone mount, it's about a foot long and is mounted to the driver seat base and extends up just above the seat and can be shoved around to suit. bg

CB is mounted in the factory cubbyhole thing with homemade brackets. I just mounted the mic on the right side of the radio. I don't really use it much, so the reach isn't an issue. I used a CB mount I got from Geno's to mount my Yaesu 857D Ham rig, and I mounted the remote control mic for it on the dash. The cell phone mount uses a Panavise slim dash mount (the one designed for this truck's dash) and then a Motorola phone mount attached to that. On the right side of the shifter is a 400 watt power inverter, and to the left side of the shifter is a Motorola speaker that serves my RF scanner (not in the picture) that is mounted on the lower dash to the left of the steering wheel. Also not pictures is a large Vertex speaker on the top of the passenger side dash that serves the Yaesu. Also, Alpine XM deck with MB Quart speakers. Is that enough for ya? :-laf

There is plenty of room to cram stuff in these cabs if you get creative enough, and I have a regular cab. Oo.

Hi Duluth, What year truck do you have? I'm looking to mount my CB & Kenwood dual bander somewere on my 96' with a 5-speed. I think you must have much less throw to your shifter to mount your CB there... ..... GHayduke (N9suo)
