breaking EGR tubes on California trucks

Help, I have a 1998, 12 valve, California truck and it has less then 50,000 miles on it and I have broken 2 EGR crossover tubes. Chrysler has repaired them twice (one caused a fire), but is there any way to disable the tube or take it off and is there anyone who make a EGR kit so the Check engin light won't come on. Any information would be helpful.
