Breaking in motor

I have to ask, I have an '05 Ram and would like to know when the 3rd Gen. motor breaks in. My trailer guy told me around 10,000miles. Is this true??

Cummins says 6K with trailer, 30+ without.

Mine got better with every oil change till about 27,000 Then it pretty much leveled off as far as mileage. That to me is a strong indicator of breakin, IMHO. That was pulling 8500 lbs. avg. And I am loaded at those weights 900 miles out of every 1000
