(East Hartford-WTNH, Dec. 16, 2003 11:50 PM) _ East Hartford Middle School on Burnside Avenue has been evacuated. There are reports of a foul odor being detected in the girls locker room.

Due to increasing cut backs by the ever so greedy state of CT. Showering is no longer tollerable in the school systems as the fear of mold strikes once again.

I can't believe this crap nowadays about evacuating a school because of a smell.



When I was in High School in '80 they were repairing the roof that year. They melted that black tar in a big kettle outside the school and all I smelled and inhaled for 6 months was that white putrid smoke. IN and outdoors. NOBODY ever complained. That and second hand reefer smoke was more prevalent than clean air.

I was in high skrool during the Carter years. We were supposed to conserve energy by not having Christmas lights, adjust the thermostats, blah blah. Some genius decides to pull the main breaker on the skrool during spring break so no energy gets wasted... That also shut down the freezers in the barfateria. Nothing like a few hundred pounds of rotten meat to greet our return.
