My breakover spring and the pin it contacts on the throttle lever shaft were really wore down, my spring was starting to bend backwards(just slightly)getting ready to break. So I ordered a new spring from a Diesel Injection Shop in Nashville, marked everything so I wouldn't lose my indexing, took it apart and welded up the pin and ground it back to a concentic shape, and installed my new spring and all I can say is WOW, my truck is alot more pepier I had put a 16cm turbo housing on it and that helped some, but not what I thought it would do, but the trucks always been in need of some extra power, Guy at the diesel shop said I was losing some but not enough to make a big difference, well was he wrong, I cannot believe what that done for the ole truck, and I can really feel my new turbo housing on there now, just telling a small experience... . :)

Shoulda gotten ahold of Greenleaf for a throttle bushing upgrade kit while you were in there. ;)

Daniel he wasn't 'in there'. He only removed the throttle levers and did the breakover spring, not the gov spring ;) .

For anyone (this will untimately include everyone) who has a worn spring and heel post. Posted this before. Take a crimp on bare connector for a small size wire (that just fits on the spring end), slide it on the spring and no need to do anything else. Mine was already broken off when I did that to it and it is still working fine 100k miles later. The spring end is a bit hard to pry out and get the connector in place but it is do-able.

Cheap.

What do I need from Greenleaf? What kind of bushings? Is the Governor spring hard to do? What will it help, I assume the fact that the truck will turn more RPM's, if so I will also need to install new valve springs? #60 I assume and who would you 3 purchase them from, and can ya'll give me some insight on doing all this( I already know you can) to my truck, thanks for all the help in the past. :)

A gov spring update alone will not require valve springs. Read the thread sticky at top of our forum page about the R&R ins & outs.

The parts list I have and can get the parts or shoot U the #'s

PM me the parts list or post on here for others to see, doesn't matter on that, will that allow me to turn more RPM? I thought you had to upgrade valve springs to turn more RPM? Could upgrading to new valve springs help the motor? I have 160,562 on the odometer, my originals could be tired maybe? What do you think?
