Have a new truck, less than 500 km... the air breather indicator is already done to 35%... have reset it a nukmber of times... it goes back to the 35% level. Anyone else experienced this?

Also have observed my 2500 250 hp auto goes into drive rather abruptly. Anyone else finding this? What is the idel RPM for this engine?

Overall very pleased with the truck. . DC cheaped out on floor mats and wheel liners... the wood grain dash is also very nice... but they also skimped out in the amount of dash they covered with the wood and doors.

Fuel economy is very good in my 4X2, 27. 15 per Canadian Gallon on the highway traveling between 100 and 100km/hr:D

Air cleander indicator

Mine gets sucked over about a 1/3 or the way when I put my foot into it a couple of times. Looks like that is normal for this truck. Cheers,

With the indicator showing those readings its a safe bet your air flow is restricted, thats what that thing tells you. A BHAF will flow a lot more air than a stocker. On the 2nd gens removing the boot between the fender and the airbox kept that filter minder from moving even with addition of 370 injectors. Dont know on 3rd gens if that boot is there. Also adding the BHAF cut smoke in half from stock filter so it was getting more air.

I will have a look at the filter box to see if there is anything that can be done to the stock box to enhance airflow. Cheers,

Contacted DC... stealer contacted engineer department... . they are aware of this issue and will consider each case by analysis of each vehicle. Take your trucks to your stealer and have them contact DC for an analysis. Seems like a TSb coming down the tubes!!!!!!

They'll probably have a Filter Minder recall and replace them with less sensitive units. That will be a cheaper fix than putting a GOOD air filter setup on
