I replaced rear cylinders and rear brake lines the breather tube/ brake junction block broke off the axle how to re-attach?

Thanks,

Frank

Hollow Bolt

The junction block and brake cable bracket are held on by a hollow bolt that is threaded into the axle housing. If the bolt is only broken off then an easy out should remove it.

Vent Bolt

I would think that the only two places one would find a replacement for this part is a dealer or the wreckers. No need to remove the brass "T" fitting, unless it can't be moved far enough to get the broken stub out. Last time I had that bolt out, when changing the parking brake cables, found it to be a bit of a bear to get back in. Most of these sort of parts are made from leaded screw machine stock (very soft steel) and are easily broken or cross threaded. If you can't find one localy, or it will take to long to order, send me a sketch with dimensions and I will make one for you.

Do you remember if yours was normal ex head or an allen wrench??thank you for your offer. I'll check around and see what they've got. thanks

Bolt

As I remember it was a hex bolt with a nipple for the breather machined onto the head. The Tach was available as a dealer installed option. If you do a search you may find a photo of my tach that I posted or I can send you one.
