Bright Lights indicator

Anyone got a good idea how to dim the Bright lights indicator in the dash? Darn thing is to bright for the amount of time i use it, and I don't want to put tape over it.

If you remove the plastic over the gauges you can use a black marker to darken the Bright indicator. It will still be visible, but not as bright. Otherwise, The tape thing works

go to your local autozone/pep boys or the like they have slip on covers in different colors. just take out bulb from back slip on and go.

I have used the tape thing on several previous vehicles. I used black electrical tape and on my '89 Toyota 4-runner, it was on there for 12 years and 287k miles.
