You bet! Just replace your rear bumper with a Buckstop. It has cutouts for 4" lights. You can put some major candlepower back there with that setup. Plus you don't have to worry about damaging your rig if you back into something.

You can get 50 watt halogen replacement lamps at your local auto parts retail store. I got mine at knects. Be sure to use a relay to fire those puppies up, as they will burn out the backup light switch. Run at least a fused #14 wire from the battery or where ever. Use the original backup wire to actuate the relay. Don't leave them on too long as they run hot and can melt the lenses.

my take on brighter backup lamps (picture link) they are triggered with a relay, and i have them wired through a heavy rheostat giving me 2 levels of light. the picture in the link is the dim mode, the bright mode is full voltage instead of about 10v which is the dim mode. they work pretty well, but i want to find some higher wattage flood/fog lamps to put there. the ones i have are driving/spot lamps so the light spread is a little narrow.

super bright 19led White lights off ebay- you will go blind looking into them-- pics by the weekend if someone can help me post

Just picked up a pair of Piaa 1500 today, they come with a three way switch (come on with reverse lights/off/manuel on),fused with relay and wiring. I picked up a KC light switch with green l. e. d. on, to just turn them on and off,Ill run 14 ga with a fuse in line. These lights are 55 watts with quartz lenses. Oo.

Do a search and you won't be disappointed, Someone has just recently placed a wiring diagram on how to double the stop lamps (for safety ;) ) and convert original clear area of lens assembly to turns(yellow bulbs) and use the existing back-up lamp feed to a pilot signal to fire a relay for bumper mounted back-up lamps(whatever output is legal and or MORALLY responsible) . I bought a set of floods for this prodject and a three position switch so I can leave them OFF when in civilian land !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might place another switch next to it to prevent brake lights from coming on when zero light conditions are required, but have not found a switch with enough safety features yet. Need spring loaded switch cover in red or yellow and a l. e. d. indicator or something.
