We hit Talladega every year in April. We were planning to get Fall Bristol tickets and skip Talladega. I saw it was sold out already. Guess its back to 'Bama again. That really breaks my heart. ;)

All American campground - all the way from NW Arkansas. We'll arrive about midday Thurs. 830 mile trip.

Pulling new 5th wheel on maiden voyage. The RAM has pulled the old 5th wheel to Kansas Speedway a couple of times.

Going to Texas Motor Speedway the next weekend too! When will I ever be able to get back to work?

If you fellas want to get together sometime that weekend, I live 20 minutes from the track. Shoot me an email: -- email address removed --

I know where all american campground is, but I don't know if I'll make it over there or not. If I do I'll definitely keep an eye out for you. If you get close to Red Barn, stop on by!

p. s. Our seats are in the Kulwicki grandstand, 'bout 2/3 of the way up, in-between the start-finish and turn 1.

F. Y. I. When they concreted Bristol, I worked for my uncle who had a concrete grooving and grinding business. They had some rough areas on the track that we came in and ground smooth. We did the front and back straight with a highway grinder, and then we did the 4 corners with a small bridge deck groover converted to a grinder. One other guy and myself spent a couple of weeks working the corners down. It was very difficult and tedious considering the 36 degree bank! The upside was that when they had there Winston Cup test, we had to be on hand to get driver reactions and input. It was nice to be inside Bristol with only a few hundred people there and half of the drivers and crews. You could walk up to any driver (and we did!) and have a conversation with him. Very relaxed atmosphere, was nice to talk to Rusty, Darrel W. , Dale E. , etc. Sure do miss that guy (Dale)

:p

!

Wish I lived 20 minutes from the track!

You in Unicoi Co. ?

I spent a couple of months in Erwin grooving bridge decks. Beautiful country, though I hear they hang elephants?!!?

I will be there in the fall. We stay at all american. Been ticket holders for three years now. It is by far the best track to watch a race at. If anybody goes to the fall race let me know. We always have plenty of whiskey and cold beer.

No inside info, I was on a waiting list for six years. But you can always get them from a scalper when you get there for a premium price. I did that a couple years. Also in the back of the Winston Cup Scene magazine the sell tickets also. We also have team dodge hospitality this year.
