I searched on the Brite Box & fog light jumper, but all info is about a year old.

Has anyone had problems with the Brite Box and/or the fog light jumper wire burned out headlight switches?

How about the Brite Box with higher wattage bulbs?

Thanks.

On low beams, with fog lamps lit, the headlight switch has to deal with two 55 watt outboard low-beam filaments and two 37. 5 watt foglight filaments.

On high beams, with fog lamps lit (jumper installed), the headlight switch has to deal with two 65 watt outboard high-beam filaments and two 37. 5 watt foglight filaments. This is little more than the low-beam scenario.

The inboard high-beam filaments are grounded via the high-beam headlight relay in the Power Distribution Center of your model year 2002 Sport Ram - no extra load on the headlight switch.

The BriteBox lights the outboard low-beam filaments by providing a path to ground when the high beams are selected - no extra load on the headlight switch.

The only thing you've mentioned that would increase the load on the switch is the higher wattage bulbs.

What you have to worry about is the light assembly is not designed to take the amount of heat generated with both filaments lit.
