First time I ever had a vehicle from brand new for this long AND broke 100,000 miles. Averaging about 17,000 a year. Every time I think about a new vehicle I remind myself of the simplicity of this one.

Ditto!!!!!!!!!!

Same here 94K. Never owned one this long either. I plan keeping this one for quite awhile. I've been keeping track of the problems that others are running into and will replace whatever needs replacing.

Doesnt make since to replace the damn thing at all.

Mac:cool:

first truck started at 30,000 drive it to 85,000. Oct 1994 to sometime 2004. Sat for close to half that. (89 F-150 w/ 300 straight 6)

Second truck started at 24 traded at 44,000. Jan 2002 to July 2005 ( 02 Dodge 2500 V8)

This truck started at 8 currently has 93,000. July 2005 to present. (back to the straight 6 :) )

My 04 just turned 300,000km. Front bearings, rear calipers, and awaiting re release of carli ball joonts. Runs a consistant 18-20usmpg not towing.

Value in our trucks

I bought a 1989 Skyhawk new when stationed at Dover AFB and traded (with 250k)on a 1993 Ranger then traded it (with over 300k) on my 2003 CTD. I have 165k on it but what I love most is the re-sell value of my CTD. Trade in on both my Buick and Ford just over $1000 together. I will keep this one for awhile.

This is not by way of complaining. Got 117K on my 04. 5 and the Cummins is still going strong. Look for the little things to start biting you though. Haven't done the brakes yet, but the water pump just died and the nipple connection at the rear of the muffler rusted out and left the SS tailpipe hanging. She's in the shop right now for annual inspection and the new pump and muffler. All told the drive train has been wonderful, but the little things are starting to catch up.

Not to worry though, she's a keeper for at least another 100K.

125k. Bought it with 14 miles on the clock in Sept. 2003. Original clutch, wheel bearings, batteries. Done the brakes once (115k), dreaded heater blend door (105k), rear U-Joints (110k). Have several minor things that need work - Driver's seat needs work, paint starting to oxidize away, chipped paint on intercooler, headlights clouding.

On my 4th set of tires, too.

Tow's the fifthwheel all over and serves as a daily driver, too.

I bought mine Oct of 02 and I just turned over 100,000 this month. Still love the truck, it has been the best truck I have ever had.

I'll peg the other end of the scale, maybe others will feel better- My 05 only has 38K miles. Not 138K, not 238K. 038K. I'll spare the long story, but basically there were plans and dreams, then a divorce. Thought I would have to sell the truck many months. But got it paid off recently, happy to still have it. And it doesn't get driven in CNY winter salt. Yeah, that's right- a perfectly good 4x4 that was bought new in the south, and moved to CNY and just sits for the winter months. I know I'm a sad case, but maybe this will make some of you others feel better :)

I did an oil change last fall and realized it took 18 mos to put 5k on her. She's got 70k now and its been a fanastic rig. We give the Dodge the winter off and save it for family camping and towing the TT. I bought a souless but capable prius to rack up miles on.
