What has everyone been doing about the seat cushins when the break down after a few years of use. My last two trucks both lost most of the cushin in the seats and now this is almost uncomfortable. Anyone found aplace that just sells the cushin to replace existing, or does anyone know of a place in western colorado to get upholstry done?

Thanks

Get hold of C. D. Day. He posted an article to the TDR mag some years ago. I have a copy of it, but he should have a better one.

Ahhh yess. My bad memory fades me  I have seen the "After" effects and what a difference. I was thinking of a shot of memory foam as the top layer but I yet to see Memory foam that has no "Memory"

Joe F. (Buffalo) did a piece about this recently. I followed his lead this week by putting some closed cell foam and carpet between the spring wires and foam of my drivers seat. The seat wasn't broken down but the shape of the bucket seat didn't match my "bucket" and my trip last month was painful for both my wife and me. I haven't done her seat yet, maybe later.

I haven't driven any distance yet, but so far it seems to conform better to my backside.

3rd Generation Dodge Front Seat Thin Padding Fix

There is a seat repair for the newer trucks.

I did it to my 05 about two months ago and can tell you that it made a world of difference.

After doing the aforementioned repair, I did a 150 mile trip and the difference was amazing. Almost felt like riding on air seat.

hope this helps.

Hello

I have had this problem in my 96-2500 w/220000 miles. I have rebuilt the seat as discribed, but this did not hold up.

I contacted Airhawk Systems. This product is basically a Air Seat that attached right to you primarY seat. You can adjust the Air-Ride; it works great.

Check out AIRHAWK

Thanks,

Jim
