I seem to have broken the throttle linkage between the TPS and the pump. Is this a dealer only part? Does anyone have a PN? When I get the new part how do I adjust it? I would use the same measurements as the old one however it was "BOMBED" to get home. Thanks!

Throttle Linkage

I'm pretty sure you can go to Cummins NW for that piece.

EDIT - Check out the recalls/TSB's I remember something about linkage getting replaced at the dealer for free.

Not sure if you a speaking of the bell crank or the adjustable linkage rod. . If it's the bell crank it is replaced in the throttle cable recall, dealer may have one laying around or maybe you should upgrade to the new cable if you haven't already. If it's the rod you're on your own. They are known to break though, usually from binding due to corrosion in ball/socket swivel. New one should be adjusted to 5"ball center to center or enough that you just get full throttle.

I think it is the adjustable linkage rod. The dealer has the part that I broke for $21. It is a threaded rod with standard thread on one end and reverse on the other.

I don't understand how you get the 5" adjustment... . From center of one ball joint to the center of the other is about 14".

I think the TSB has been done because I do have the new cable.

My 97 did that to me one Sunday am. I fixed it with Duct tape and the housing of a ball point pen. Took it to the stealer and they put the new adjustment rod (that was what broke) in backwards after they got done telling me for 10 min about how their tech just got back from "Cummins" training

Easy to replace but keep duct tape in the backseat, never know when you might need it.
