Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Broken auto trans output shafts

The "Xtreme Team" sled pull team has contracted with a cryogenic treatment company to provide a nice ice bath for the replacement output shaft. Then it goes back to Bill for preassembly. I hope this works out since I would like to have this done to the internal steel parts in my transmission for the second generaton "race transmission".

If this testing goes well maybe Performance Diesel can offer this transmission to the public. I don't think Bill is too interested in this sector of the market, but it sure has my interest peaked. If the transmission can be made HVAC proof then it surely would be a sweet setup for some of you other abusers #ad

Does anyone know what type of steel these shafts are made of. I am sure that that could be upgraded also alomg with propper heat/cryogenic treating.

I have a cryo'ed input and output shaft read to go in.
