So has anyone broken a barrel in half on a p-pump. I have never seen this happen or heard of it happening (until it happened to me). I was out playing around and then all of a sudden I was running on 5 cylinders. I took the injector line and delivery valve holder off and then went to loosen up the barrel hold down nuts. Once I loosened the nut the top of the barrel moved around. It ended up snapping in half right under the casing. Any ideas why?

i have seen this when water past through the filter water has no lub or compression going up through the injector and ends up in the p-pump hot gasses!
