Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) broken input shaft on 97 ctd w/auto. what else do I need to do?

Stock input shaft broke after 47k miles with updated trans that had lock up feature and billet torque converter.

What else should I replace beside input shaft.

Dont want to have future failures. Is this possible?

yes, both up and down. Told it would not be a problem.

My stock input shaft just broke on me Tuesday. I was lucky, nothing but the shaft needed replacement. My transmission still looked like new after 30k miles. It was recommended to me to upgrade the stock flex plate and go with a billet input shaft.
