On my son's 2005, a rock hit the drivers side lense over the fog light. Can he buy just the lense or does he need to buy the whole light.

Thanks for any help... . Larry

Yes they are screen mesh. They are a Cloud Rider product. I got them from the dealer where I bought my truck. Probably not the best price but after shelling out another $180 for a light I took them.

Yikes, if you happen to break another one check ebay first... . I broke one a couple months back and found tons of them, brand new, on ebay for about $55 each.

Thanks for all the help. I will have him check E-bay. This TDR site is great !!!! Never fail to get good answers. :)

You have a few options # 1 stoneguard a 3m product that is molded and fitted for the dodge foglights, about $19. 95 for two. #2 cloudrider designs have a very nice stainless mesh screen the fits into the front of the foglight for around $94 bucks american. coobie

Coobie,

Where can we get the StoneGuard covers?

Gecco,

What is the part # for the fog lights?

Broken fog lights are not unique to Rams, I also have a 2002 Mazda Miata, and our fog lights are almost at road level, and are around $250 to replaced. One of the members of our informal group makes lens protectors by cutting circular disks from plexiglass and provides 3 patches of velcro to attach them to the lens. Doesn't seem to reduce the amount of light. So all you need is the appropriate sized hole saw and a little plexigrass and you have an expensive fix.

As a side note, someone has found that the fog lights off a Mercury are identical to the Miata with the exception of the adjustment screw, and only cost around $50. Check around for what else might fit.

Thanks for the info guys. Fog light from dealer is $120. Or the kit is $139 which will provide a spare light ( opposite side ) and a spare switch. At the cost of these lights you would think someone would make a nice wire mesh guard at a low price. The flexable urathane material probablly won`t stop a golf ball size rock from breaking the lense.
