Well after more inspection of the truck I found that the engine was setting on the front cross member. The oil pan now resting on the cross member! The rotating crank an rods now hitting the pan!! Has anyone made solid mounts for these motors? I guess that this is from the increase in torque and hard launches in 4x4!! I know that one drawback would be vibration feedback through the frame. Any others? TIA

Thanks John,

Ive changed housings and the power comes on real quick now!! Lets just say that @ 35-40 in 3rd nail it and it gets sideways!!

Also found the trans mount/bushing to be ripped and broken in half!

J. R. ,

Have you found new motor mounts? or used for that matter?

Check with Cummins Midstates?

If you need help with re-install, let me know.

Bye the way, I have rode in J. R. 's truck before the HX40, and even then it was :--)

Thanks Justin I may take you up on that!!

John,

Yes I went down to the 16 and the spool up with my fueling is very quick, like 1400RPM!! Where the truck was really strong in the top end @3k plus, it is now VERY strong on the bottom end!! Lets just say 40 MPH burnouts in third now!!:--)

I wouldn't expect anything less from you.....

Your truck has the same problem as Gene's truck... . darn loose NUT behind the wheel... .

Thanks for the tip, I guess I had better check mine, so far its not doing anything weird except leaving black marks on the street now and then.
