2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Broken reclining driver's seat

I have a 98 2500 quad cab with a broken reclining driver's seat. The lever-actuated cable is slack in the cable housing. I attempted to pull the seat itself apart to get to the other end of the cable, but had no luck. Has anyone fixed a similar problem, or have any ideas?

I posted on this subject some time ago. Got 1 reply from Doc Tinker telling me to fabricate one. Now the cable on the passenger side is broken. Guess you and I have the only broken ones otherwise the guys on this board would have some input. Unless... . bombing engines is easier.
