YI really did not feel right about all the pressure the sales guy put on us to give them all 10s! I never give exceeds expectations and neither does my manager for me during my annual reviews:D. I think the sales guy did a good job but FIN guy.. no way,. they messed up my title so now I have to get it corrected (on my dime / time). and they didn't put my wife on the Max Care policy.. or even ask. So overall.. not 10, maybe 8... So I assume there is no harm in not doing it.
An accurate survey that is not perfect is fine. They just get really spun up when they get the blame for FCA policy. My dealer does me a lot of favors, so they get a perfect survey every time, even though they are not great. They really do appreciate it, and it keeps the relationship going smooth.

You can definitely remove the OEM without ripping it off like an animal, as stated remove the access panel and squeeze the clips holding it on. Not sure why genos instructions make it out to be so difficult.

Got the new part today for cost from the dlr, parts guy was good to work with; and also sold me the factory rear step at cost. So not feeling too bad, as I would've paid that plus shipping to order it. Service dep't was not going to do anything (seems to be dealer dependant because my local RAM dealer said if I had bought it there they likely woudlve good willed it; but anyway).

For those who want to know, the clips holding this thing on are apparently are the push rivet type so you use a trim stick to remove the center part (head and pin) then when its "popped up" you slip the trim stick under the outer head and pull it from the panel, other wise you will break the heads off. Like many have said, the dealers stock this part, so there's that.
