Matt be sure & post some pics when you get 'em on.

Hey didn't you run another wheel like Centerlines before you got the Welds or do I have you confused with someone else? Red QC longbed?

Weld wheels Forged, thought they would be the strongest for an aftermarket upgrade but washing the truck today I see a spoke is broken all the way around. Anybody seen that?

walker, kmc, gordon... . make comp wheels that you wont break.

I have cracked two OEM wheels, I dont even know what I hit. I was going down a sand wash 50-75, I did not see any rocks. The other time I had parked my truck after work came out in the morning with a flat. I aired up to find the crack.

That's insane! go figure. . I will do that on my dirt bike that weighs just over 200 lbs with a foot of suspension travel but no way in a big truck.

1) When American Racing aquired Weld Wheels in Aug. 2006 they did not accept libility of wheels purchased before that date. I don't recall the date & my tire guy is checking into it.

2) This design wheel is no longer made.

Will be a bummer if I have to buy a complete set due to this. #@$%!

as far as language goes i have seen customers upset 1st hand who used weld wheels, so i can understand being pretty upset. it aint easy buying new wheels let alone having to buy a second set. when i worked at a 4wd shop we didnt like Weld for this very reason. your best bet would be Eagle Alloy wheels. if that dont work i do have a set of 24. 5 alcoha's laying around if interested.

ps you might want to consider parking or limiting use until issue resolved. if one spoke failed while all of them where working together imagine 1 spoke short how long before the rest fail

How disappointing to hear this is so wide spread. I called our Chrysler parts department yesterday for parts and mentioned it in conversation only to find that the guy on the other end of the phone also has a broken Weld wheel. Maybe the NHTSA would like to know about this.

informing the NHTSA would be a good start to making manufacturers make better quality wheels. it would also probably be nice to send them the wheels for them to see 1st hand and include a picture of your wallet after fixing the problem too!!!

and as far as the one guy stating they scrapped his wheels without telling him and giving him a hardtime getting his money back thats just wonderful customer service.

Got some pics up what I changed to. The American Racing "Fuel-8" is an 8 spoke wheel and with the dibits in the wheel lip looks a little bling but its a done deal now. Click here and let me know what you think?
