Cherry Picker Needed in B'Ham, AL

The farmer had finally given up on farming and with his last few dollars, he takes the bus to Seattle, looking for a job. After he gets there, he's gone from place to place to place... and nobody wants an old farmer.

Feeling like he's reached the end, he walks to the street corner and stands there a bit. Timidly, he asks... "Hey, can you spare a few cents? I can't even eat tonight... ". People ignore him completely.

But, farmers are pretty resourceful people, so he doesn't give up. "It must be that the wording is wrong. " So, he changes it a bit, remembering that it IS the big city after all.

"Hey, friend, can you spare a buck for a Latte?". Instantly, he is surrounded by suits, all holding out a dollar. Stunned, he stammers a thank you and takes all of them. Noticing he's now attracted a small crowd, he starts down the street.

The crowd follows him and begins to grow. In fact, they all seem to be soliciting more dollars from the others on the sidewalk. He walks faster, the crowd speeds up. Panicking, he breaks into a run. So does the crowd. One of the crowd sprints up in front and wheels around to confront him. The young man wearing a suit, a ring in each eyebrow, a stud in his nose, hair shaved to a 1/4 inch long and sandals on his feet seemed really disturbed. "What... What do you want?" the farmer asks feebly. . "Look man" the kid blurts out in an angry tone, "we don't mind giving you the money, but you're not going to cheat us out of knowing where we can get a latte for just a buck!!"

Bill,
I don't think you'll get too many donations standing on a corner next to your truck - might have to scale back & pick up a junker #ad

So if I see some guy pan handling in Forestville I should introduce myself?

Brian

Mark, Xmas trees are Ag, along with golf courses, nurseries and pasture. One neighbor owns a septic sucking and port-a-potty business, he dumps his trucks on his ag land legally. I always liked the logos on his trucks, "If you can dump it, I can pump it". Ag is a pretty loose definition, it is basically land with limited residential or commercial / industrial buildings.

Yeah, Bill... He's right. Come on down and i'll trade with ya. i have a 78 D150 that leaks appropriately in several places, has no straight sheet metal anywhere, is noisy, idles like a tin can full of rocks rolls, and should get you very high in the sympathy factor. Of course, if you make it big, you can come back and trade back again... Of course, if you don't... well... who's gonna pity someone driving such an expensive SUV ?
