hey my brother just got a dodge yesterday. 1996 ext cab long bed 4wd auto. 226k miles. turned up a little but i havent found out exactly what yet. he paid 10500 for it. is that a good deal? the truck is perfectly clean, all slt laramie and everything works perfect. How does the automatic do after 226k miles? and what can he do to make it last longer/hold more power and do it easily? thanks

Hmmm, 10,500 is quite a bit... . hope it's in mint condition. I wouldn't call it any kind of deal though. I paid $9000 for my 94' but it is in great condition. Also 5 speeds bring more money in my area, could have got an auto for about 7K. A 96 probably go for about 9000-10000.

I paid 12k for my 98 last year with 140k on it. needed tires and rear brakes, bumpers tweaked a little bit, few dings/scratches in the paint nothing too bad.

the truck is in mint condition. everything works and the transmission was rebuilt about a year ago. it has Eagle alloy rims and bfg 33 inch all terrain tires. you'd think it was brand new except for the miles.
