Need help with a Standyne Roosa Master Injection Pump

Has Chevy one upped us on the high idle?

Who invented Brother-in-laws? I can't believe mine bought a Powerjoke. He knows I have forgotten more about trucks than he knows and I know all of the pricing and what he should pay and he goes out and buys a Ford one ton 4x4 powerjoke that listed for $39,000 and pays $34,800 and thinks he got a good deal. To keep the peace I did not tell him he got screwed. He could have gotten a new 3500 QC 4x4 Cummins HO with 6 speed and all of the goodies for $32,800 from Milton Sales plus the 7 year drivetrain warrenty. How can I now show my face around town, now that there is a FORD in the family???

I'm only guessing ... but is it a CREWCAB!!! If so he bought what he couldn't have down the street. He did pay about 1. 5K too much.

Phords

My sister was with this ford guy and he talked her into buying a tempo. Of course me being a mechanic ,guess who got stuck with fixing this P. O. S. . They never got married(thank God)and she totaled the tempo. Some old guy in an f-150 pulled out in front of her. After she got all healed up I told her she did good, took out two Phords in one shot ;) :) . Doug

It's a crewcab with the 6 foot bed. But he did not need a crew cab and he did need an 8 foot bed. But maybe he wanted a Crew Cab :), so who cares right, he is the one that has to make the payment on the ford and drive a ford :) I just don't understand the guy???

Same here, except it is my brother, not the brother in law. He has 2 kids and did need the crewcab. There is a ton of space in there. If Dodge try's to pull the crap they did on the new 1500 calling those 4 real doors with the HD, it will be hard not to go to the other side.

It's a 2002 F350 single rear CC all options. I have put about a 1000 miles on it and do enjoy driving it. What I hate most so far is the engine must be turning 2000 to make any power. (This truck is stock) I have driven a stock HO and it will drive circle's around the Ford at low RPM's. Above 2K it pulls strong. We WILL be adding a chip very soon, it needs it.

CJ, any opinions on the Western Diesel chip? Seems to be popular on the FDW.

Chaw

Don't get me wrong it is a nice truck and the Crew cab is huge, the kind of room you would find in a BIG sedan. I quess that I am disappointed that I did not have a chance to discuss this purchase before hand. I think I could of saved him money even on the Ford and got him a better stronger truck for less money with the Dodge. Oh well, I am sure he will enjoy it and that is what is important.

Chaw,

A lot of guys are running the new three level chip that WD is making. I have not heard anything bad about it. The three levels are something like 40-120HP. I would go with guages!!, and a larger downpipe and exhaust if I went with that chip. The last dyno session they had showed about 100 RWHP with the chip. I don't know anyone running the chip. Most of the trucks I know have a Superchip or a Diablo in the 70-80 HP range. A mild chip chip sure wakes up the PSD... especailly an auto. Unless he wants all the guages, exhaust and gadgets like what you have on your Cummins I would install a 60-80 HP chip and not worry about anything... . CJ
