just wondering if anyone has seen or even shot Brownings new Cynergy over/under shotgun? i'm going to get into sporting clays and i have a dealer looking for the Cynergy sporting model for me. apparently it has been on back order for the entire year. any thoughts on this gun? Oo.

Like the 525 much better. To me, it mounts better and just feels better in the palm swell/trigger joinery. Have not shot w/ a Cynergy, just shouldered one, so that is about the best comparison I can do... .

A friend of mine bought a Browning Cynergy with 28" barrels several months ago. I've shot it afew times and liked it. My personal gun is a 425 Browning 12 ga. with 30" barrels. Of the guys I shoot with we have my 425, Browning White Lightening, Browning Grade VI, and a few other browning O/Us to compare the Cynergy to. Everyone I've seen shoot it liked it but prefered other Brownings over it. I'm not going to mention other brands so I can avoid :-{}

I shoot Sporting Clays, Wobble Trap and Skeet aleast once a week, year round and I think I could get used to a Cynergy but I would much rather have a Browning 525. Just my opinion, I'm not telling you what to do.

There is a recall on the Cynergy concerning the triggers. Browning said there was a chance of accidental discharge. My friend never had this happen but he sent his back to Browning and has received it back. I don't know if the recall is on all Cynergys or just the first ones. Now when he shoots a strong target or hunting load it uncocks the second barrel's hammer. We have teased him about having a expensive single shot lately. If you really like the Cynergy, call Brownings Techline and ask what the problem is. I've found the tech guys to be honest.

Here is link to a Shotgun World Forum posting on the Cynergy.

Hope this helps,

thanks for the info. it's hard to tell how the cynergy really is since i can't even find one to shoulder or even shoot. i've never really thought about the 525, maybe i'll look into that one. i keep hearing good things about it. Oo. :D
