If you are looking for stock springs I would get the I think it is the 47/48 combo the ones that come with the snowplow package, otherwise I would be inclined to call Kent K from t-rex and see what he might have. When I was emailing him about his setup asked him about the front springs since I have a DOR bumper and plan on adding a winch, he alluded to one size does not fit all depends on the weight etc and that he could make what I would need for the weight I have up front. From his email I wasn't sure if he meant that he could tune the shocks to deal with it with his standard springs or if he actually has different springs with different rates. His springs may work without the rest of the kit but then again they may not. It might be worth the call.

I was really concerned with this as well when I installed my Buckstop and 138-lb M15000. My dually came with dual 046 springs, and after bumping the air pressure up in the front tires (70-psi) and turning up the Rancho 9000's a notch, I really can't say I notice the added weight anymore.

Kent does sell his springs separately and they work fine by themselves , I recently ran my truck a month or so with T-Rex springs and "normal" shocks while my Kings were reworked and I think it was better than the stock spring setup. T-Rex also has different spring rates fallible.

When i had my vin ran, these options came up:

ZGRP SPRING - LEFT REAR

ZJHP SPRING - LEFT FRONT

ZVRP SPRING - RIGHT REAR

ZXGP SPRING - RIGHT FRONT

do i have good springs, enough strength to hold up my reunel bumper?

;)

I would check and see which combo of springs you have on the truck presently. I recently swapped the original 39/38 combo to 46/39 and added KYB's on my truck, without a heavy bumper upfront it is VERY firm.

(ZJGP - ZXFP) Greek to me!

Check the springs, each should have a fiber tag with the number printed on it.

I found the springs I purchased in the TDR classifieds, but saw quite a few on ebay also. A used pair should go for about $45-65

You can buy them new for about $95 each as I remember.

Go to the dealer and give them your VIN and they will print a build sheet for you..... that tells you the code for every major assembly that was put on your truck... . Those Codes are what's shown for the springs.....

ive got the codes, but what does it translate into? since i know everyone uses a two digit number to talk about springs

I wish I had a conversion - BUT I did find the spring numbers - I have a 38 & 39..... now I need to find out which one I need to beeef her up and what do they cost?

These are suppose to be the part numbers for the HD front springs for the snowplow package

39: 52039039 (1688#)

46: 52039046 (1836#)

47: 52039047 (2036#)

48: 52039048 (2236#)

I would imagine that they are pretty expensive from the dealer - what options do I have for getting HD springs and what might I have to pay for them????

If I recall correctly, the Buckstop is about 200-lbs. plus whatever the winch might weigh. But don't forget that you will sheer off at least 20-lbs. by discarding the OEM bumper. ;)
