Good Morning All. . Has anyone had any dealings with these folks?

In their website they advertise what looks like a good product for an attractive price - they have been dilligent about answering all of my questions - very helpful. .

However, doing "due-dilligence" on my part,, I wanted to find out more about these folks before I plunk down $1500 + shipping for a bumper.

These bumpers look sweet and quite clean. . Whatdoyathink???????

:D

Rich do you have the Snow Plow option on your truck with the #046 & 047 springs? If you do I don't think the added 190 lbs would be a problem? Even if you don't have the snow plow option if your truck is a regular cab it is around 400 lbs lighter in the front then a quad cab. I don't think I would put that on a quad cab with no snow plow option. They are real good looking bumpers. I would think it would scare a deer to death :)

Buck Stop Bumper

I have a regular cab with the snowplow option so the weight wouldn't be an issue,, but of course I could add their rear bumper to kind of balance out the whole affar. . What better reason would I have to justify ordering the rear to match??? :D :D :D

Looks like a great place to tie up that buck after I have punted him out of my way too. . :D :D

I'm looking at the same bumper. A friend saw it at SEMA and let me know about it. I just talked with them on the phone and they said it's $1275+shipping. Their rear bumper is $325 if bought with the front. It's by far the cleanest looking bumper I've seen yet - I wish it was made out of aluminum instead of steel but oh well. I plan on putting 2. 5" lift springs up front to help with the addition 190 lbs. I haven't spoken with anyone that's dealt with them yet but my friend looked at them directly and said their simply awesome.

Thanks Steve,, the base price is around $1300 but of course I added PIAA fog lamps already installed so my pricing was a bit higher than base. . I also like tha fact its winch ready too,, lots of pluses on this unit. . I bet if it was made out of Aluminum it would be a bit pricer to have the same protection levels as steel. . For another $150 they will powder coat it in the color of your choice. . I look at it as my "slow driver encouragement" device - lead - follow - or get out of the way!!!!:D :D :D

It'd definately be pricier in aluminum but being that I live in a rust belt state it would be less likely to corrode causing me to have to pull it and repaint it. We'll see how it holds up I guess. I'm going to source my lights elsewhere and probably will go with something less expensive than PIAA's. I won't be using the winch mount but I may turn that door into a storage area.

I live in Virginia so rust isn't as much of a problem here,, I live east of the blue ridge where the winters are mild. . I think you will have to build some sort of box for storage in the winch mount area but I agree that would be a great place to store snach straps, tow straps, jumper cables, and such. I really like the addition of the tow hooks too,, I think its a shame Dodge doesn't just include those as standard equipment when the build these things. .

I email BuckStop and this is some info they sent me on the bumpers... .

The Dodge front and rear combo package is $1599 fully loaded - grill

guard, frenched light buckets, winch access door, tow hooks, trailer

receiver, winch ready, license plate bracket, and powder coated in

silver metallic with clear top-coat! The rear bumper has 4 1/2" round

light openings, polished aluminum diamond tops, and 3/16" steel

construction. The rear utilizes the internal framework of the stock

rear bumper for added strength.

The light openings take any 6" round light. The light mount is

universal. The Dodge weighs 235 lbs which is 190 lbs over stock. The

center winch area is 1/4" steel and the outer wings 3/16".

Delivery time is about 1 week out, but there are only a couple left in

that batch. The next build schedule will be 3 weeks out.

You could order a set of #048's if you want that heavy bumper. I just think the OEM springs on your truck would sag. You could try it. Just add a set of Bilstein shocks and if the springs sag, then install the heavier springs.

Spanky's Bush Pushers

I checked this bumper out,, it does look good and is lighter 120 LBS as opposed to 235 LBS of the buck stop bumper. However, I see less protection there also as the push bar section is not as wide and has no headlight protection either. . Otherwise a good looking unit. I am going to email those folks for more information.

Price is $1350 US. . I would assume shipping is extra. .

I ordered my bumpers today - getting the front and rear. Mine are coming unfinished. I'm going to build (with help of friends) a box to hold my recovery stuff inside the door in the top and also going to add some bolts to the inside of the bumper to be able to bolt my bumper inserts inside of it to stop rocks from passing through the holes into the intercooler. Once that's done I've found a custom powder coating place that is going to do a custom paint match to my rockers with an 8 step prep process for $175-$200 for both bumpers. I can't wait to see what it's going to look like. My truck is going to look a lot different. I'm putting on a sport grill painted body color with the stainless grill inside of it too. I've got a pair of 2. 5" skyjacker springs here too that'll go on at the same time. :D

Thats' so cool!! let me know what you think

That is so cool,, let me know what you think of everything when it arrives. . I have chosen to go with their stock metallic silver since it will be close to the color of my truck. . However, I will have to wait until after closing on a townhouse before I order them. . I too am going for both bumpers,, I have to give a vehicle recovery yard a call to sell my stock bumpers to recover some of the cost of the new ones. . Oo. Oo. Oo.

Steve, Rich,

Keep us posted on how your installations go. I'm also interested in eventually getting a set, but I'll also have to beef up the front suspension. Just too many deer where I'm moving to. I hit one not too long ago!!!!:(
