This was an MSN tidbit today - odd car names. This was #2 on their list of ten, after the Gremlin.

"Chevy Cavalier: "showing an arrogant or jaunty disregard or lack of respect for something or somebody," or a "gallant or chivalrous gentleman, especially one escorting a lady. " Which do you think they were going for?"

Looks like that poor lady was definately not respecting the power of 7500lbs that starts at 2 feet off the ground   ;)

you guys should have seen what my truck did to a 2000 Subaru Forrester. :D  and i have my new bumper on the way but i just couldn't see paying that much for a bumper but if i would, i would definitely buy the buckstop. Hopefully i'll have some pics on here when i do get my cowcatcher.

The purchase price is well worth it after you whack something.

You've got me LOL Matt!

There's nothing quite as satisfying as wiping the fur off the bumper after a successful "Whack" is there? Especially if the fur comes from a stray feline with the hair running down it's back and tail puffed out straight while making one last ditch effort evade the inevitable crunch. :D

Steve, Think about putting a "Borg" sillhouette on there with a subcaption that says "Resistance is Futile" :D

You would have really laughed your bottoms off if you saw me after I pulled over - post doe whacking exercise.

All I had in the cab was this little LED flashlight (penlight)..... So there I am - 10 minutes past midnight trying to find the doe that literally crawled into the woods after she moseyed into my truck.

I couldn't see squat... but I still ventured into the woods about 10 feet off the side of the dark road. Now comes the funny part... .

There was then this LOUD "crash - smash - rustle - crash"!! Noise right in front of me. I yelled as if it was an extra terrestrial coming to get me and I RAN back to the truck like I had a JATO rocket strapped to me.

That doe scared the poop out of me. I don't think my girlfriend could have laughed any harder at me. :D

Visions of the "Tommy Boy"... . 'dead deer in the car scene' must have been fresh in my mind.

Time for a better flashlight! At least that way I'll be able to see a 140+# doe before it scares the heck out of me.

Holeshot

I read somewhere about a hunter out one night in the brush. He heard some footsteps of something very big behind him. I stopped and looked around but could not see anything and the footsteps stopped. He starts moving again and the footsteps start also. He stopped, they stopped. He still couldn't see anything. It sounded like it was getting closer to him and he stopped again. Only this time he felt a warm breath on the back of his neck. He freaks out and takes off running and the footsteps were still comming behind him. The guy runs into a branch and goes down and the owner of the footsteps behind him comes up to him. It was a horse. :D

For you guys and gals out there who don't have unlimited funds for your body armor, I offer a reasonable alternative to Ranchhand, Ruenel, ProZap and now Buckstop.

I have to admit, "Buckstop" is great name because their bumpers will obviously stop two kinds of bucks - yours and the silly deer that try to cross the road... Contact me at -- email address removed -- or -- email address removed -- for pictures and pricing.
