Has anyone left the stock springs when adding a larger/ heavier front bumper? What kind of sag/ bottoming out issues am I going to encounter?

You're going to get varying answers on this, but I'll give you my experience.

I put a Ranch Hand "Legend" front bumper on my 4x2 and have no issues whatsoever. For your reference, the Legend weighs in at 255 lbs. I estmate the stock bumper & hardware weighed about 80 lbs.

All depends on the springs that you got from the factory... Mine came soft (983 & 984 springs) where as my buddies truck came with 985 springs and no problem with a ranch hand. I have a 3500 drw and my buddies is a 2500 so who knows... All depends on the springs u got. .

I put a Lone Star (Like a Ranch Hand) bumer on my truck and mine bottomed all the time. From day one my truck sagged in the front... . So when I put the bumer and winch on it the truck was always was bottomed out... I put ther 988 springs from dodge on mine with 2in coil spacers and it sets perfectly level.

I have a ranch hand bumper replacement with the grille gaurd and other stuff. Instead of a winch I have a hitch insert.

My front end dropped about a half inch from what I recall.

I don't know what my stock springs are, eventually I will probably go with a winch in the bumper and if I do that I will change the springs to something heavier and maybe a slight lift.

I created a thread about adding the heavy duty bumbers about a month ago and I did get all kind of answers. I have ordered a ranch hand legend. I'm going to see how it rides and if needed, i'll add the 988 springs later.

Just added a warn trans4ormer and winch, so at least 200lbs. So far no problems, but the front end is lower. A leveling kit would be an easy alternative, and many companies make those.

No problem with the Buckstop and 12K Warn. My truck had the plow package so I don't know if there is any difference with the OEM springs when you have this option. The truck sits level and drives fine.
