Does anyone have any info on a stainless steel bug deflector that mounts between the grill and the hood? I have been looking for one for quite some time, but all I can find are the ones that mount to the grill itself and cover up the top bar. There used to be a company called PCI that made these, but I can't find them anywhere on the net. Any info is appreciated, thanks

Bert

Are you talking about the polished stainless ones that look like they are raised a little above the top bar, with space between the deflector and the top bar? I saw a Mopar deflector like this on a new '05 at the dealer a couple of days ago. I think there are a couple on EBAY for around 80. 00.

I had a lexan one that went between the grille and the hood and sand collects there and grinds if you mean the same thing.

I'm looking for one like diesel DOG is describing, had one on my 99 and loved it... but I didn't have any sand collection problems either. It was a Lund Interceptor, but the new ones for the 3rd gen mount to the 4 holes under the top bar of the grille.

I have the "hood protection" from the factory and also put one on my son's

'03. Works fine, looks good and costs about $80. You can get it pre-painted to match the sports or chrome for others. It does not trap dirt.
