bug shields & pyschotty air system?

This may sound like a stupid question but correct me if i,m wrong ,it my understanding the pyschotty air induction system draws it air from the base of the windshield & as i have bug shields on the truck ,do you think this would affect the air flow in a negative way as far the P/air system working to its maximum efficiency. I,m thinking of installing the P/AIR system,also have you guys noticed much of a drop in egt,s after installation. Thanks in advance. Ian

Ian, the Pyscotty is an excellent system, works just fine with a bug shield and has lowered my EGTs by about 150° on a hard pull. You probably won't see any benefit until your truck is bombed though.

Thanks for the prompt reply Bill,Ihave the275,s & EZ in my truck ,so yeah she,s bombed,DTT,vb&tc in 2 weeks. I tow so looking forward to those lower EGT,s which assume leads to better mileage?Ian

More power = better mileage. With the Pyscotty you get more usable power because you don't have to throttle down or downshift as much due to high EGTs. The Pyscotty, along with your other mods will be a perfect combo.
