I don't want one that covers up the top part of the grill, so I guess the ones that fit behind the top portion of the grill are the way to go. Who makes the best ones? How do they attatch?

I have the Lund kit that goes between the grill and the hood, no adhesive, so it will never come off, till you take it off. It does rub the very front edge of the hood paint, but not bad, i never plan on taking the deflector off, so you will never see it anyhow.

I'm using the 3 piece OEM Dodge shield, attaches the same way as the Lunds but includes clear stick on rubber dots to keep it off your paint. I'm happy with them, and they do work.

They work fine , if no plastic button you can make one with Goop auto motive . Put gob on wax paper wait till cure , Put small amount on back after pulling off wax paper and put on hood hold in place till it sticks or use tape till sets , use small amount for sticking to hood . Bugflector II

Bugflector II by Auto Ventshade Co. Is attached with 3M double sided tape and works exceptionly well, I have one installed on my 01 and have been very happy with it. The eyebrow protectors use the same tape and I am very pleased with them also. I use high pressure washers to spray my truck and they show no signs of coming off and with the heat in Texas I was uncertain if that would effect the tape but all seems fine. I have a friend with the same setup on his truck and he has had no problems with his and he has used them on two trucks, putting new tape when he reinstalled them. The tape did not damage the paint on his fenders or the crome on his grill.

BTW with this kit there is no way for it to rub on the paint anywhere.

I have the Prime Designs acrylic, just the main hood shield. It is similar to the lund, goes between the grill and hood without tape or screws. It holds tight and unlike the lund, does not rub against the hood anywhere. I can't find the receipt for where I got it (on the net) if you are more interested, let me know and I'll look harder. :D
