After scrubbing loads of Love Bugs off the front of my truck I thought I would consult the collective for suggestions as to what I might apply to the truck to prevent insects from sticking so well. I rarely have time to immediatly get out and clean them off. If I wait too long they are harder than hammered cat s#*t.

I have considered applying silicone spray after a good application of Armor- All to the plastic portions such as the lower bumper and mirrors. I've known people that using cooking oil spray durring the prime love bug season. It works but I worry about the oil staining the finish. I do not want to use a bug screen/bra.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!

Total Shine from wally world under $8 bucks
works on everyting paint chrome or the black
rubber trim side stripe's mirrors etc.
And you don't have to worry about getting it
on the paint.

There is a product from a company named "PetroChem" called "Protect All" Use it after washing the truck. Shines plastic, metal and paint fantastic and the bugs don't stick next time.
