Just get a few 'Bounce' sheets ( thats what I use for both my Rig and RV ), get them wet and wipe the bugs.

Doesn't scratch the paint and the bugs just soften up and wash away.

You might get a 'haze' of oils, lanolin, etc, that comes off the sheets, but that washes away with soap and water.

Been doing it for years now and I have never had a paint/finish problem yet.

go to the local coin op car wash, shoot the front end, windshield, and mirrors with the engine/tire degreaser let it soak for about 1 minute, hit it with the high pressure. Bugs all gone. The local car wash owner told me this after seeing me scrubbing my truck every 2-3 days. I thought the engine/tire degreaser would harm my paint. He reassured me that no car wash owner he knows would ever offer a chemical that would harm paint, just too much liability. The degreaser is usually greenish colored. I still tried it on the wife's car first ;)

Straight up Simple Green and a soft cloth like a wash cloth. After it's clean, I re-wax any painted surfaces. Works good. This also works good on the front of travel trailers!

While on vacation in Aug. in Texas had all kinds of bugs, went to local wallyworld found a product called bug off, spray it on let set and then wipe of with rag. real bad areas took a little brushing but otherwise very easy.

Just my 2 cents worth

my cousin has a motor home and he gets a product called protectall. just spray it on and rub it in. he puts two coats. i asked because he was wiping off bugs with just a damp cloth! you can get it at the RV shops. robert

Before I leave on a long road trip ( usually leave after rush hour), I spray the

grill, and bumpers with 303 protectant.

When I get to the cabin, I just hose it all off. Works pretty well, and doesn't strip

wax.

I got some fiberglass screen and installed it inside the front grill. Also made a small frame to go in front of the lower portion of the a/c that doesn't have any protection at all. Keeps the bugs out of the a/c, radiator, intercooler, etc. Open the hood, spray through backwards, and out they go. No help for your getting them off the paint question, but a big help in keeping bugs and rocks out of those tender spots!

E Nordstrom:

Do you use the Bounce sheets right out of the box? Or do you use ones that have already gone through the dryer with a load of clothes?

Thx.

i use a spray cleaner that i found at the harley-davidson shop. it's a cleaner/wax. spray it on and let it sit for a minute or so then wipe it off. they also sell a type of this at the local yamaha shop. used it on bike alot so i tried it on the cars and it works just as well. good luck. btw, that truck was a mess you may need an angle grinder to get it clean...

What is the best remedy for removing bugs and their juice off the front of the truck.

Armor All, I believe, makes some spray-gunk that gets 'em RIGHT off (must sit for about 3-5 minutes. ) I have it here in bug country and LOVE IT.

Comes in a blue spray bottle... available at your auto parts store.

I just used the dryer sheet trick yesterday and it worked VERY well. Took the bugs right off. I used a brand new one but I'd recommend a used one. It's the texture of the dryer sheet that gets the bugs off I think.
