Idiocy in Colorado and Arizona, Re: Fire

My dad told me that one of the loudest(oem) horns that he heard was off of the 50's-early 60's Buicks. He said that they were a triple horn unit and were loud. So this got the rusty wheels turning and I thought that if I could come up with a set and mount them on my truck until I could get the air horns. . that would be great...

Anybody got a set of the Buick horns that they might want to get rid of ????????

Rich,

I did a thread on electric horns a bit ago, don't want air, 70's Caddy's are about the loudest, its a three horn set and the JUNKYARD want 95 to 110 bucks! Buicks were mentioned... I forget the year. Dad's old Dodge had some loud horns!

It's time to roam around pick- a-part!

My uncle had an ealy 70's Eldorado and put 3 more sets of the Caddy horns on it.

Dam thing sounded like my Grovers!!:D

I've consistently bought 70's Caddy horns for $15 in L. A.

I've probably bought 4-5 sets of them over the years.

I get them from Pick-Your-Parts.

The 63 Buick Riviera horns were about the loudest electrics I remember. Sounded like a Santa Fe Super Chief was in the driveway.
